Tosca's Price of Freedom - infamous betrayal and political abuse of power.

Rome around 1800. It's a shame that love doesn't always triumph over violence and intrigue. The opera singer Tosca's deep devotion to the rebellious painter Cavaradossi is fatal: when the tyrannical police chief Scarpia wants her all to himself, she becomes the victim of a brutal regime. Tosca fights bravely and cleverly for dignity and freedom, but betrayal shows no mercy. In the end, everyone is dead - the lover, the tyrant and Tosca herself - through a bold but fatal jump from Castel Sant'Angelo. Tosca chooses death as her final act of autonomy. Free but dead. Giacomo Puccini's music makes hearts tremble and tears flow.
